Call for works 2016

 The eviMus Festival and the KuBa – Kulturzentrum am EuroBahnhof present the „3. Saarbrücker Tage für elektroakustiche und visuelle Musik“ from the 4th to 6th of november 2016 in Saarbrücken (Germany).  The eviMus Festival is a three-day Festival focussing on new music in all of its forms. All events are free and open to the public. All composers, regardless of nationality, age or career stage, are invited to apply. Since the number of applications exceeds the places available, there will be a selection process.

How to apply:

The application must fulfill the following requirements:
Send a PDF, ODT or DOC with contact information, composer’s biography and a description of the idea of your work      (program notes). Additionally, please send an email with an online link to your work (on soundcloud, youtube, vimeo, etc) to: info at evimus dot de.


Send a download link to your work on a file delivery service such as DropBox, Wetransfer or Google Drive in .zip or .rar format. Multi-channel works (up to 8 channels) must be submitted. Please do not send email file attachments. In case of selection you will need to send us an uncompressed version of the files.

The submitted works must fulfill the following requirements:

Composers can submit several works (but only one work per composer will be include in the concerts). Works which last 10 minutes or less are preferred; no work should exceed 12 minutes.

The submitted works must fulfill the following requirements:

1. Four channel up to eight channel works for fixed media (Format: WAV or AIFF files, stereo works are not going to be considered)

2. Solo instrument/voice and fixed media or live electronics (composer has to provide performers).

3. Works for video and music are desired (stereo or more channels)

4. Sound Installations and Interactive Media (composer has to provide all non-standard equipment)

On the „3. Saarbrücker Tage für elektroakustiche und visuelle Musik“ will also be room for discussions about the relation between music, technology and society. Everyone is welcome to participate. In order to organize these discussion-related sessions conveniently, everyone is welcome to submit papers with hypotheses, ideas or proposals. Also discussions of submitted works are appreciated.

Start of applications: 1st August 2016
Deadline for applications: 15th October 2016
End of selection process and notification: 25th October 2016
Final deadline for all performance material: 1st November 2016

Composers will be notified of the results by email.

The application is free of charge
